Paranormal investigations

The aim of all E.S.P.I. investigations is to investigate reported paranormal activity within or around a given location, both by scientific means and by employing the help of spiritual mediums in order to attempt to ascertain the cause of the disturbance. The challenge we face in proving that a certain location is in fact haunted is in providing unchallengeable evidence that whatever paranormal activity we may find is indeed spectral and not caused by adverse environmental conditions.

To this extent all investigation activities must be properly recorded (visually and audibly) where possible and that all the environmental conditions are measured in order to substantiate our findings. All investigations should be carried out using well balanced groups of four or five investigators visiting the same locations in turn; in the hope of reporting similar experiences.

These findings are not discussed between groups until all summaries have been written up and passed to the compiler for analysis and final write up. These visits are known as vigils; experiments are also recommended to ensure the best results are achieved.
